Singer-songwriters in concert at The Cellar

TWO SINGER-songwriters, one Canadian and one Irish, both of whom have worked with Steve Earle, will be in The Cellar Bar to play a free gig on Wednesday March 23.

Nick Nace was born in Canada. After moving to New York he was part of folk duo A Brief View Of The Hudson, with whom he recorded two albums; toured Europe and the US, and composed the soundtrack for Tell Your Friends: The Concert Film, premiered at SXSW. They opened for Glenn Hansard, Mike Doughty, and Kaki King. He has studied songwriting with Steve Earle, and last year made the Nashville Songwriters Association 'Ones To Watch' list. Wexford's Gordon Barry released his debut EP Sojourning in 2014. This month he releases his debut album, The Best Way To Kill A Monster, mixed by Steve Fisk, who worked on early recordings by Nirvana and Soundgarden. He has performed with Steve Earle, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and Mick Flannery.
