Gardaí in Gort have warned householders in the area to beware of unsolicited callers following reports of a man calling to homes claiming to be a health worker.
Gardaí have received a number of reports of the man calling to homes in south Galway claiming to be a public health nurse and asking to check medical cards and other details. Householders are advised to ask for identification from callers who claim to represent any organisation, and to report any suspicious callers to Gort Garda Station at (091 ) 636400.
