One Horse Pony - a very Irish take on the blues

THEY COME from Ireland, France, and Poland, they play highly charged, original, acoustic blues. They are One Horse Pony, and they play the Róisín Dubh's upstairs bar this Saturday at 9pm.

The Irish based band - Rev Rob Hercules (vocals/guitar ), John The Badger (vocals/guitar ), Kevin Frank F Germany (harmonica/vocals ), Meerkat Milot (percussion/low whistle/vocals ), King Bart (bass/vocals ) - bring a novel twist to the blues through the use of Irish trad instruments, the bodhrán and the low whistle, alonside the more traditional guitars and double bass.

The band have supported the Blind Boys of Alabama, Jack L, and Jerry Fish. Their single, 'Staring Blues', topped the iTunes blues chart, and they have played Electric Picnic and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
