2016 Over The Edge Poetry Book Showcase at Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop

An evening of poets and poetry

THE 2016 Over The Edge Poetry Book Showcase, featuring readings by poets, and book launches, takes place at Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop on Friday February 12 at 6.30pm.

The poets reading from their work will be Trevor Conway, Lorna Shaughnessy, James O’Toole, Aideen Henry, Robyn Rowland, Matt Mooney, Kate Ennals, and Quincy Lehr. All are Galway based and have published a new collection of poems over the last 12 months. They will read from their new books. There will also be readings from the anthologies Raving Beauties – Hallelujah for 50ft Women (Bloodaxe ), AND AGAMEMNON DEAD: An Anthology of Early Twenty First Century Irish Poetry (Muavaise Graine, Paris ), and 21 Poems: 21 Reasons for Choosing Jeremy Corbyn, all of which include poems by Galway-based writers.

All are welcome and admission is free.
