Killimor and Eyrecourt advance

The 2011 champions Killimor will play Milford in the AIB All-Ireland Senior Camogie Club final this season.

Brenda Hanney produced a super display to help Killimor keep Loughgiel Shamrocks at bay in Sunday's semi-final at St Tiernach’s Park in Clones. The former Galway star scored 1-3 in a player-of-the-match performance and, with Susan Keane adding 1-2, the westerners were able to maintain control, seeing off Loughgiel by by 2-7 to 1-5.

Racquel McCarry provided the main threat for Shamrocks, providing 1-2 of their tally, but although the Antrim contingent rallied well, they could not reel in a gritty Killimor who now face a tough contest against the 20013/14 Cork champions.

Galway will also be represented in the intermediate decider with Eyrecourt facing Cahir. Although All Star Molly Dunne was not among the trio to hit the Eglish net in their semi-final, Cora McEvoy, Laura Loughnane and Laoise Stones registered the defining goals to see Eyrecourt on their way.
