SNOWED UNDER, the new 'digital cassingle' by Galway left-field experimental musician Loner Deluxe, finds him delving deep into extraterrestrial grooves, sonic space, and what he terms 'UFOlk'.
This 'cassingle' is the winter sequel to Loner's summer release, The Coast is Clear, with its cover image a sequel to its predecessor. It features the same lake in Sweden, but Loner is now gazing at ice, instead of warm summer waters.
Snowed Under is released through the Independent Galway label Rusted Rail, and contains three free/name-your-price songs on Bandcamp. Lead track, 'Winters Last Fire' was included on Volume 7 of An Taobh Tuathail, compiled by taste-making broadcaster Cian Ó Cíobháin. This is the first time the song has been available on its own. Loner describes the other two tracks, 'Holding Pattern' and 'We Saw No Stars', as "cosmic electronica with a human touch".
