THE DEANS, the acclaimed County Galway roots-rock trio, return to the Róisín Dubh on Saturday December 27 at 8pm, for a show that will include songs from their latest EP.
The new five-track EP, Supply & Command, which includes the recent single 'Take It Easy' was recorded in IMW Studios in London and a disused hotel near Paris. The band - Gavin Dean (lead vocals/guitar/keyboards/harmonica ), Ronan Lally (bass/vocals ), Gari Keon (drums/vocals ) - have been touring the EP, launching it with a show in Paris's Gibus Club, where The Clash, Led Zepplin, Iggy Pop, Billy Joel, and Genesis have also played, while a show in London's The Islington takes place tomorrow.
Rolling Stone said of The Deans, "Songwriting is their thing. It’s all about the songwriting, all about their duty to the songs"; Sylvain Berger of Musicradar.com called them, "An Irish trio bursting with energy that must be experienced"; while Jon Berrien of the GroundSounds blog said, "With an unmistakable sound, they are emerging as one of the most dynamic independent bands to look out for."
