Reginald D Hunter - back in Galway in 2016

Comedian to bring new show The Aluminum Negro to Seapoint

PROVOCATIVE, CONTROVERSIAL, insightful, challenging, and blisteringly funny, Reginald D Hunter is coming back to Galway next year with his new show, The Aluminum Negro.

Hunter, described by The Times as among "the top rank of stand-up comedians working today", and by The Daily Telegraph as "comedy’s coolest customer", will play Seapoint, Salthill, on Thursday June 2 as part of his 2016 Irish tour.

The Aluminum Negro will see Hunter exploring what it is like to be a Negro in today's world, taking audiences on a bountiful romp through today’s politically correct minefield while, at the same time, attempting to shield them from any truths they would much rather avoid, and, as the Independent said, “searing social commentary, deep south wisdom and juicy punchlines are pretty much guaranteed’’.

Hunter has appeared on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and QI, and is a frequent guest on Have I Got News For You. He has appeared in Argumental for Dave Channel, and Would I Lie To You and Live At The Apollo for BBC1. He also presented the critically acclaimed BBC2 series Reginald D Hunter’s Songs Of The South, which documented his epic road trip from North Carolina to New Orleans through 150 years of American popular song.

The show is a 'Róisín Dubh presents...' event. Tickets priced from €25 - €28 (including booking fee ) go on sale tomorrow [Wednesday December 16] at 9am through www.ticketmaster.ie See www.reginalddhunter.co.uk
