ONE OF the most anticipated Irish albums of 2016 will be Everything This Way, the debut from Walking On Cars, who, with only a handful of singles and EPs have become one of the most acclaimed and popular Irish bands.
The Kerry quintet will perform music from the new album at a 'Róisín Dubh presents...' concert at Seapoint Ballroom, Salthill, on Wednesday December 16 at 8pm. The NME said their sonngs "recalls the emotional indie we love”. Gigwise declared them, “the sound of Ireland’s next huge export”.
Walking On Cars came toattention in 2013 when their independently released the single 'Catch Me If You Can', topped the iTunes Ireland singles chart, while the video scored more than half a million YouTube views. Two years later, they are signed to Virgin EMI, through which they have released the singles 'Hand In Hand' and 'Always Be With You', along with a new version of 'Catch Me If You Can'.
