Claregalway’s charming bistro Treat Café has reopened in style this week after it was damaged by a fire late last year. The eaterie which has won many plaudits from food lovers is located just behind Hughes Supervalu complex with ample and free parking and is well known as one of the best kept secrets in Claregalway.
The new re-opened Treat has kept its modern yet cosy feel, with a very warm décor that adds charm to the café style bistro.
The re-opening came after extensive renovations were carried out on the fire damaged premises.
“We have just launched our new evening menu and it’s a huge success, we are changing to reflect the needs of our customers, café by day and now a bistro by night” said owner Jackie Dolan,
The late opening till 9pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday gives customers the option to enjoy a restaurant menu but at bistro prices. The evening menu is available after 5pm and the prices are reflective of the good value offered, with prices starting at €8 for a main course. Customers can also choose from the extensive wine list.
It has always been a welcome heaven for families and they have a very open child policy and included a wide variety of healthy choices on the menu for children.
Treat Café have extended their menu to include pasta dishes and have also launched a new pizza menu in the traditional stone oven baked pizza’s oven. The Take away menu now gives our customers the option to enjoy pizza at home.
The team of staff are welcoming and friendly. Customer service plays a key role at Treat Café & Bistro. “We believe in good service, great value and above all high quality food,” said Peader Dolan, proprietor.
