The renowned liturgical composer Marty Haugen will be in Galway tomorrow for a one-off music workshop for parish choirs and musicians, followed by a public prayer service.
The workshop in Galway is being organised by Fr Frankie Lee and Dee Newell of the local singing and performance group, Gather Music Project. The workshop will be held in St Patrick’s Church, Forster Street, from 7pm to 8.30pm. From 9pm to 10pm, the general public will be welcome to attend the ‘Prayer Service for Justice and Peace’ during which some of the music learned during the earlier workshop will be recited, with band accompaniment.
