Patrick McDonnell to headline Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh

AS FATHER Ted's Eoin McLove he delivered such immortal lines as "Go away! I don't want to catch the menopause!" Now man who played him, comedian Patrick McDonnell, is coming to the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh.

McDonnell, who plays the Clubh on Friday November 20 at 8.30pm, has since gone on to roles in Moone Boy, Stew, Naked Camera, and The Savage Eye. An accomplished comedian, his vacant stare and guileless manner wins over audiences before he even starts his routine. He was part of a sold-out show at the recent Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway.

Support is from Andrea Farrell, a finalist at the RTÉ New Comedy Awards, who has a laconic style and irreverent stage presence. She has performed at the Vodafone Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cats Laughs, and Electric Picnic, and tours with The Lads of Comedy.

The MC is Steve Bennett. Tickets are €8 from OMG Shop Street, Róisín Dubh, and www.roisindubh.net
