Rackhouse Pilfer - roots'n'country @ Monroe's Live

RACKHOUSE PILFER, the stompin’, alt country, bluegrass sextet, and Hotpress/Jaegermesiert Live Band of the Year 2015, return to Monroe's Live on Friday November 13 at 10pm.

The band - Leon Mooney (guitar, harmonica, vocals ), Willie Kelly (guitar, drums, vocals ), Fiachra Cunningham (fiddle, Dobro, vocals ), Mark McGovern (banjos, vocals ), Leslie Jones (mandolin, vocals ), and Hugh Feely (double bass, vocals ) - have recentlhy collaborated with Tom Jones, providing the musical backing to the Welshman's new single 'Honey Honey', a duet with Imelda May. The song was recorded using the same mixing desk on which Pink Floyd’s 'Wish You Were Here' was recorded.

Formed in 2012 in Sligo, and inspired by Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earl, Ryan Adams, and John Hiatt, Rackhouse Pilfer have released the acclaimed albums Back To The Country and Love and Havoc. The latter featured guitarist Harold Bradley who recorded with Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash.
