Headline set from Neil Hickey

COMEDIAN NEIL Hickey, "one of the most exciting newcomers to the Irish scene," according to the Irish Independent, headlines the next installment of the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh in the upstairs bar of the Dominick Street venue, tomorrow night.

Hickey has been described as "a talented and forensic writer” by The Scotsman and praised for his ‘‘dry wit’’ by Chortle.co.uk Hotpress went so far as to declare, “in a fair and just society he would surely be the recipient of a New Comedian award’’.

Neil has performed at the Kilkenny Comedy Festival and The Vodafone Comedy Festival in Dublin, as well as twice at the Irish Just for Laughs Montreal Showcase. He is a past winner of the Bulmers’ Nuthin Butt Funny Newcomers Comedy Competition; has supported Bill Bailey, appeared on RTÉ's Liffey Laughs, and won the Irish heat of the Amused Moose Laugh off Competition.
