Gearóid Farrelly for Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh

'START AS you mean to go on' is an old maxim that could be applied to the career of Dublin comedian Gearóid Farrelly, who headlines the next installment of the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh tomorrow at 8.30pm.

No sooner had Gearóid made his first forays into stand-up, than he reached the finals of the prestigious 'So you think you’re funny? award. From there he has become one of Irish comedy’s most popular acts, with his “intelligent, reflective comedy” (The Irish Times ) and "impeccable comic timing" (Broadway Baby ). He has also appeared as PJ Gallagher’s conjoined twin on RTÉ’s Meet Your Neighbours, as well as The Savage Eye, and he is a regular contributor to Colm Hayes 2FM show.

Support is from Stephen Ryan, a two-time finalist in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards. He has played Latitude, The Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival, and Tedfest. Chortle.co.uk has praised his “lyrically wry, beautiful one liners”.

The MC is Steve Bennett. Admission is €8. Tickets are available in advance from Róisín Dubh, The Ticket Desk at OMG Shop Street, and roisindubh.net
