THE HOT Sprockets, the high energy Irish blues-rock band will headline the Rocktoberfest weekender at Monroe's Live, which starts today and runs throughout the weekend, up top Sunday.
The Hot Sprockets, whose blues-rock is infused with folk, psychedelia and even hip-hop, play tomorrow night. They have released two albums - Honey Skippin' and Brother Nature, and have played Indie-Pendence, Castlepalooza, and Electric Picnic; sold out shows at The Roundhouse, London and The Button Factory in Dublin; and supported The Zutons, The View, and the Divine Comedy.
Rocktobersfest starts tomorrow with sets from The Wood Burning Savages, The Eskies, Orchid Collective, D-Day, Spy-fu, and Fallen Lights. Tomorrow will see Plutonic Dust, Youth Mass, Fox Jaw, Grounds for Invasion, and Crow Black Chicken join the Sprockets. Saturday's line-up is The Geddes, Vann Music, The Klares, Ivy Nations, Aine Cahill, and Tobi Kaye. Sunday will see The Mighty Stef, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, Brain Donation, The New Social, and Wolves of Youth.
