"THESE GUYS do the nasty blues like the devil hisself was hurting and rock like they'll skate come Judgement Day," Texan country singer and songwriter Ray Wylie Hubbard has said of Irish blues trio Crow Black Chicken.
Crow Black Chicken - Christy O'Hanlon (vocals, guitar ), Stephen McGrath (bass ), and Gev Barrett (drums, vocals ) - are among the many acts playing the Rocktoberfest weekender at Monroe’s Live, with the trio's show taking place on Friday October 2.
Since forming in 2009, Crow Black Chicken have earned respect for their dirty, southern rock, sound, which mixes blues and hard rock, via such inspirations as Gov't mule, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Led Zeppelin. They released their début album Electric Soup in 2012, and second album Rumble Shake in 2014, which went to No 12 on the Irish Albums Chart in its first week of being released.
