AFTER ITS successful opening night last week, the second instalment of the The Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh returns this Friday, with two stalwarts of the Irish comedy scene - Alison Spittle and Edwin Sammon.
Alison Spittle has appeared on RTÉ's Comedy Bites and Republic Of Telly and is also Newstalk Breakfast's reporter. She is a veteran of the Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Vodafone Comedy Festival Dublin, and Dublin Fringe festival. The Independent has called her comedy "spectacular in a beautifully surreal way".
Edwin Sammon has featured on RTÉ’s Republic of Telly and in the New Comedy Awards, as well as performing at the Edinburgh Fringe and Electric Picnic. He has also enjoyed positive critical notice, with leading comedy website Chortle, praising his "conviction and likeability".
