RL Grinds will commence a series of higher level Leaving Cert English classes on Friday September 25 at 7pm.
This proven weekly exam-focused class will take place in the Claregalway Hotel. The course offers an exam-focused approach to the higher level English exam with detailed and quality A-standard notes and sample answers provided for each area of the course to help students' understanding and writing, with highly regarded teacher Ronan Loughrey.
The classes will offer intensive teaching in a student-friendly manner, covering all areas of the exam, both paper 1 and 2; an in-depth understanding of the language genres required for paper one comprehension; powerful writing techniques to enhance the quality of your writing for the examiner; and an in-depth knowledge of the marking scheme (what the examiner wants ) incorporated into each class.
The text covered in the course is King Lear. Exam questions will be assigned and corrected each week for each student, with individual feedback provided for improvement. This monitors student progress also for parents.
