New York singer-songwriter to play Róísín Dubh

"LESS THAN two weeks till we hit #Ireland & #Wales for the first time in years," New York singer-songwriter Jesse Malin declared recently on his website. That time is even closer now as he plays the Róisín Dubh on Thursday September 10 at 9pm.

Working in music since his teens, Malin fronted hardcore band Heart Attack and glam punks D Generation, before going solo in 2000. He has since released eight solo albums, and has cited Neil Young, Tom Waits, and Steve Earle as inspirations. At his Galway show, Malin will play songs from his forthcoming album, Outsiders, which is due out on October 9 on One Little Indian/Velvet Elk Records.

Malin describes Outsiders as "a record built out of optimism and disgust - one for the leavers, the believers, the hustlers and the chicken hawks who could never catch us." Born from late night recording sessions in the Pennsylvania woods with producer Don DiLego, far from any expectations, this new record presents Jesse Malin in his rawest form yet.
