GOLDFISH SYNDROME have been making a name for themselves across Europe, the USA, and South Africa, and Galway will soon to get a taste of what the Cork indie-rock band is about.
The band - James Walsh (vocals/guitar ), Tonto (guitar/vocals ), Ciaran O’Donovan (bass ), and Kieran O’Neill (drums/vocals ) - play Monroe's BackStage Bar on Thursday August 20 at 11pm.
Goldfish Syndrome's debut album, A Drug Called Tradition, explored the dying days of the Celtic Tiger and the economic and social decline of the late noughties. The single 'Misty Morning', topped the iTunes rock charts in May 2014, while their debut EP Timewarp, won five star reviews in France. The single, 'Where Have All The Good Times Gone?' was the opening track on the US compilation Riot On Sunset, and their second EP, Moving On gained airplay on Today FM and 2FM, and was a Hot Press 'Pick of the Fortnight. The video for the single 'Alleyways' was nominated for an Underground Cinema award.
