THE FANTASTICAL, weird, and wonderful creatures that escaped from the brain of Dr Seuss to delight generations of children, will be brought to life on the stage by the Loughrea Youth Theatre.
LYT will perform Seussical, the musical, in the Temperance Hall this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 7.30pm. Featuring a cast of more than 200 local students, a professional production team, and the LYT Orchestra, the Temperance Hall has been transformed into a "Seussian Wonderland". Based on the books and morals of Dr Seuss, Seussical includes The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird, The Sour Kangaroo, and JoJo who explore the importance of imagination through songs ranging in style from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and r'n'b to funk.
