Singer-guitarist on tour to promote new album Window On The World

DECLAN SINNOTT is best known as Christy Moore's side-kick, accompanying the great man at his concerts, as well as being a founding member of Moving Hearts, but he is also a superb singer-songwriter and guitarist in his own right.

Galway will have a chance to see Declan solo and in concert when he plays Monroe’s Live on Thursday August 20 at 8.30pm. The show will be be part of the Wexford born musician's current Irish tour to promote his second solo album, Window On The World.

Declan is a self taught guitarist, who has been playing since he was 13. Throughout a career that stretches back to the 1970s, Declan has worked with Mary Black, Sinead Lohan, John Spillane, and Horslips, and appeared on albums by Moving Hearts and Christy Moore. However it was only in 2013, at the age of 62, that he finally released his debut solo album, I Love The Noise It Makes. This year saw the follow-up, Window On The World, featuring songs Sinnott co-wrote with Owen O’Brien. It also features Sinnott on all instruments and was recorded at the artist's home studio.

At his Monroe's Live show he will be accompanied by Vicky Keating, who also sings harmonies on Window On The World.
