Finalists announced for 2015 Galway Film Fleadh pitching competition

TEN INDIVIDUALS, all with an idea for a feature film, will stand before a panel of industry judges and an audience and in 90 seconds convice them why theIR idea is good enough to become a reality.

This is the Galway Film Fleadh's annual pitching competition which takes place in Ballroom 3 of the Radisson Blu Hotel at 3pm. The winner will be announced at the Fleadh Awards Ceremony later that evening and will receive a cash prize of €3,000.This year’s finalists and their projects are: Mark Finnegan with Dying for Fashion; Liam Alex Heffron with Temporal; Mark Gilleece with Psych 101; Eamonn Keane with Rise and Rise Again; John Cavanagh and Eamon Quinlan with The Sweeps; Dan Mooney with Cauldron Born; Emma Greaney with The Book of Secrets; Max Webb with Strangers; Luke Morgan with Ewetopia; and John Morton with The Kudome Valentine.

Previous winners of the Pitching Competition have gone on to make careers in film, most notably the 2006 Pitching Award Winner Will Collins, who returns to the fleadh this year with the Irish premiere of his new film, Song of the Sea.
