A healthy sponsor for Connacht Rugby summer camps

Connacht Rugby's popular summer camps will be sponsored this year by local family business, Galway Free Range Eggs.

Almost 1,000 children are expected to attend Connacht Rugby summer camps which will be sponsored this year by local family business, Galway Free Range Eggs.

The camps run throughout July and August at 13 different locations around the province where Connacht Rugby players will make guest appearances, helping children learn rugby skills and giving them an understanding and passion for the game.

"The Connacht Rugby summer camps have been growing in popularity with children over the past few years," says Connacht's John Muldoon. "It's a great buzz to see the enthusiasm and potential of the kids at the camps. I remember when I was young at school Bernard Jackman took a training session and talked to us about rugby. It had such a big impact on me and my early love of the game. That's why it's so important we get out around to all these camps - these are the players of the future."

Kevin Towey, from Galway Free Range Eggs, says the sponsorship is an opportunity to make a  positive contribution to the local communities in which he had started the business.

"These summer camps not only encourage children to get involved in sport at an early age, in such a fun and interesting way, but they also create a great occasion for children to meet up socially during the summer. We also believe our sponsorship will emphasise the association of being a successful sportsperson with a healthy and nutritious diet, of which free range eggs are an important part."
