BETWEEN 1983 and 1991 Metallica made some of the greatest metal ever created and that rich entertainment and artistic achievement will be celebrated by Ireland's leading Metallica tribute band Whiplash this weekend.
Whiplash, who are form Galway, will perform the music of Metallica at The Loft at Seven, Bridge Street, this Saturday, with the band taking to the stage at midnight. The band were founded by lifelong friends Martyn Weesjes and John Cullen, with the line-up is completed by Keith Hughes and Brendan Kenny.
The quartet are dedicated to playing the songs as close to the originals as possible and to incorporate the Metallica live vibe and sound in their shows. The set concentrates on material from Kill 'Em All (1983 ), Ride The Lightning (1984 ), Master Of Puppets (1986 ), ...And Justice For All (1988 ), and Metallica, aka 'The Black Album' (1991 ), so expect to hear 'One', 'Enter Sandman', 'Master of Puppets', 'The 4 Horsemen', and 'Creeping Death'.
