BLOOMS, THE London based Irish indie-electro pop solo project of Galway woman Louise Cunnane, has been announced as the special guest to Ellie Goulding, who plays Live at the Marquee, Cork, on Wedenesday June 24.
Blooms burst onto the scene in early 2014, catching attention when her debut track, 'Skin', was uploaded, without image or information, to Soundcloud. Catching the interest of Hype Machine, Louise revealed herself with the debut of her second track, 'If I'. Both tracks, alongside the well received 'Lust' and 'Last Time' featured on her debut EP, If.
This year has seen Louise release the single 'Fall', from her as yet untitled second EP. The song was is co-written by Gil Lewis, who is a member of the Blooms live band, and co-produced by Gil Lewis and Kobina. She recently released a new single, entitled 'Love', which she described as "a reflection on my first EP; remembering all of the great parts – which is so easily done after the breakdown of anything – but then strongly reminding myself that I have come too far to come back. I have been locked in this weird little personal battle and I refuse to be defined by it."
