Charity concert for Jigsaw this evening

THIS EVENING at 8pm in St Nicholas' Collegiate Church, a visiting choir of 42 singers from Evansville, Indiana, will perform a charity concert in aid of Jigsaw.

The Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, under director Andrea Drury, will perform Americana, Spirituals, Irish melodies and American folk music at the concert. Choir members are aged between 20 and 80 years. Many have sung with the Chorus since its foundation in 1977. Singers are drawn from across the Tri-State Area (Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio ). They meet once a week to rehearse.

Jigsaw is a local charity which supports those aged between 15 and 21 in Galway city and county who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Admission to the concert is free but a suggested donation of €5 is encouraged.
