Beagán Grá - a concert for Palestine

GALWAY SKA band Big Jelly and Tuam's brilliant pop-punk trio Oh Boland! will play a concert this weekend to raise funds for the charity Music Harvest which works with children in the Palestinian West Bank.

Beagán Grá, Ceol de Phalaistín takes place this Saturday from 8pm in Club Áras na nGael and also features Donegal/Galway punk band Rural Savage, alternative-folk band Rivers and Crows, and DJ Welfare (Jungle Boogie ), LOLZ (Bap to the Future ), and Reich Joyce spinning disco, soul, and 1990s hip hop. There will also be food provided by Eat @ Massimo and the award winning Castlemaine Farm.

Artists BRU&PABLO will be undertaking an art piece during the course of the evening, reacting to the work of the Music Harvest, an organisation currently based in Nablus, located in the north of the West Bank, providing musical programmes run by volunteers to help improve the lives of the children living there.

A €7 donation at the door, or whatever you can afford, is asked for. See www.musicharvest.org
