Laura Mulcahy, Wilde Ida, and Rivers & Crows

LEFT-FIELD folk, Bluegrass, and Americana, will all be heard in the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh when Laura Mulcahy, Wilde Ida, and Rivers & Crows play the next Mná Mná Music night this Thursday [May 21] at 8.30pm.

Laura Mulcahy is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, theatre auteur, visual artist, and founder/editor of Clare Art Beat, the only countywide review of the arts in Ireland. She has been showcased on RTÉ Radio 1's Arena and has played support to Country Joe and the Fish member Bruce Barthol of Country Joe and the Fish Fame.

Rivers and Crows are a Galway alternative folk collective led by Emma Lohan and Stephanie Swanton, who combine rich harmonies, beautiful arrangements, and haunting melodies, with a dash of theatre. There music has met with critical acclaim, with The Irish Times describing it as "ghostly swirls and elegant, sweet harmonies"; 2 U I Bestow Music Blog said they have "beauty and charm"

Wilde Ida are a west of Ireland based band whose music covers old-time, mountain music, bluegrass, blues, Americana, and country. They have played Electric Picnic in 2013 and 2014, the Secret Garden Festival, and Knockanstockan. They are currently working on their debut EP.

MNÁ MNÁ is produced and curated by Niceol Blue, an award-winning singer-songwriter, writer, poet, and member of the bands Wilde Ida and The Prodigal Blues Band. Admission is €5.
