Roesy to play Róisín Dubh

THE AUSTRALIAN based Irish singer-songwriter Roesy returns home thIS month for a nationwide tour, promoting his new album, Wolf Counsel.

As part of that tour, Roesy will play the Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday May 14 at 9pm, where he will perform songs from that album - his seventh - as well as older material.

A native of Birr, County Offaly, but now resident in the Dandenong Ranges outside Melbourne, Roesy’s career has seen him wIn the Best New Irish Act at the 2004 Meteor Awards, Best Traditional/Folk Act at the 2005 Hotpress Awards. He has also worked with the late, legendary, Bert Jansch, former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, Paul Brady, Billy Bragg, Davy Spillane, Donovan, and Shane MacGowan. He has also recorded and toured with Declan O’Rouke. Their duet, ‘In You Come’ is one of the stand-out tracks on Wolf Counsel.
