THE SONGWRITER’S Collective is the name of a new night which seeks to develop a strong knitted community of songwriters within Galway city, holds its first event downstairs in The Cellar Bar tomorrow [Wednesday May 6] from 9.30pm.
The Collective has been established to provide a stage for emerging songwriters to perform on and an audience for them to perform in front of. Ten acts will perform and each will have 10 minutes on stage. A small backline of equipment will be provided in the form of an acoustic guitar and a cajon. A special guest will appear each week.
The Collective is fully booked for the launch night but is interested in hearing from performers for future nights via Facebook. Admission is free.
