Read your favourite poem at Galway City Museum

WHAT IS your favourite poem? Would you like to hear other people’s favourites too? Would you like to discover new poets? If the answer is Yes to any of these, then read on.

National Poetry Day is on Thursday May 7 and the Galway City Museum is hosting a poetry party from 2.30pm, where acclaimed Galway poet Emily Cullen will give a short reading from her recent collection, In Between Angels and Animals, and invite audience members to also read their chosen poems aloud. There will be poetry anthologies to browse through and leaflets on display.

Admission is free. The event will run for about an hour. Donations on the day can be made to the Galway Simon Community. Tea and coffee will be provided. See also www.poetryireland.ie
