NoRopes to stage Dario Fo play

Company runs Fundit campaign to help with production

THE OPEN Couple by Italian writer Dario Fo and his wife Franca Rame, will be staged in the Town Hall Theatre studio by new Galway theatre company NoRopes.

Written in 1983, the play explores the sexual politics of a doomed ‘modern’ marriage. The underlying sadness of the play is offset by many comic moments. It will run on Friday August 21 and Saturday 22 and be directed by Máiréad Folan.

NoRopes is currently running a campaign to raise €2,500 for the production by Tuesday May 19 at 12 noon. Donations can be made through fundit.ie/project/the-open-couple  There will also be a fundraising table quiz in Crowe’s Bar, Bohermore, on Thursday May 14 at 8pm. Table of four costs €40.
