Calling all budding Coppolas and Spielbergs

BUDDING FILMMAKERS or those with an idea for a film or documentary, should check out the Galway Film Centre’s new courses and workshops.

The Galway Film Centre programme of courses and workshops for spring 2009 include a story development and pitching forum, where participants get an insight into how to mould their idea to industry requirements.

There is also the introduction to the Jimmy Jib (a 35ft crane that can be operated by one person ).

The seven weekend film foundation, the four weekend documentary making course, and the five evening introduction to filmmaking course will be running again.

There will also be a script reading and analysis course; animation for adults, a Digibeta tutorial, a DV/HDV camera and lighting weekend, and a location sound recording course.
