Grace Wilde - debut EP and Monroe’s Live show

GRACE WILDE, the Irish duo of Audrey Fay and Enda Duffy, praised by The Irish Times as delivering “delicious melodrama” and “a tightly disciplined mix of intimate rock and bluesy soul” play Monroe’s Live.

The duo’s gig at the Dominick Street venue, where They will be accompanied by Vyvienne Long on cello, takes place on Wednesday April 15 at 8pm. It is also the first date of a nationwide tour in support of their debut EP and single, Bring Me To My Knees, released today.

Speaking about the song, Audrey said: “It was written when I was a little younger and more troubled than I am now. It has dark confusing undertones, like the darker side of me. I felt I needed to experience those feelings, be open to them in order to heal and release. I still find the song itself and performing it to be an extremely cathartic process. It evokes provocative sexuality, control, strength, and even goes as far as manipulation which essentially stemmed from my own fears and insecurity at the time.”

Bring Me To My Knees was recorded at Grouse Lodge and produced and engineered by Tony Platt (Bob Marley, AC/DC, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Boomtown Rats ). Following this Irish tour Grace Wilde will tour Germany and Portugal in May followed by visits to Holland, Scandinavia, Britain, and North America later in the year. Their debut album is also due for release this year.

Admission is €10/5 through 091 - 583397 or www.monroes.ie The EP is released on April 13 and will be available via gracewilde.ie, iTunes, and at gigs.
