It’s showtime for Opel Karl

Opel unveiled no fewer than three world premieres at Geneva last week, revealing the new Karl, ground-breaking incar technology with Opel OnStar, and unveiling the new super-sporty Corsa OPC.

The new Karl is a high quality, compact, fun to drive car with space for up to five people that made its world debut in Geneva. Offering highquality driver assistance systems that have only been available in considerably more expensive vehicle classes to date, the 3.68-metre spacious five-door Karl is expected to set a new standard in this segment.

Features include the Opel eye camera system with integrated lane departure warning, power steering with city mode, park and go technology, and automatic cruise control with speed limiter.

Arriving in June in Ireland and available to order from next month, the Karl is expected to come with a competitive entry level price and will be available in three trims.

The hot VXR version of Opel's new Corsa arrived in Geneva, boasting 205PS, 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds and an optional performance pack to further up the ante.

GM's acclaimed OnStar connectivity system finally makes the jump from America to Europe, and will be rolled out across the Opel ranges from the second half of this year.
