Italian post-rock for FEAST metal night

THEIR MUSIC has the riff fuelled power of metal and their rhythms the nimble dextrousness of post-rock. They are Italian duo Hibagon and they will play FEAST at the Róisín Dubh.

The duo of Dowi (guitar/loops ) and Jabo (percussion ) hail from Bergamo, in Lombardy, northern Italy, and they define their music as “experimental, heavy and loud, stoner rock”. They have released two fascinating EPs, both bearing titles HP Lovecraft or Clark Ashton Smith would have approved of - Hibagon and The Quest For The Creature Previously Known as Moughran The Guardian and Hibagon VS Monsters Spewed From Time’s Stomach To Clutch the Universe in a Mortal Slime.

The gig takes place upstairs in the Róisín this Saturday with support from Leo Drezden, featuring Rían Trench of Solar Bears, and Mayo math-rockers Well, Hooray For Silence, who recently launched their new album. Admission is €6.
