STOLEN CHILD, the story of a young woman’s journey to find her natural mother, will be staged by the Glenamaddy Players at Glenamaddy Town Hall Theatre in February.
Written by Yvonne Quinn and Bairbre Ní Chaoimh, the play explores the history of Ireland’s industrial schools, the plight of unmarried mothers, and the adoption process.
Peggy is searching for her mother and hires a private detective whose irreverent humour and hard-drinking lifestyle mask a deep understanding of human frailty. The cast is Tina Ward (Peggy ), Patricia Comer (Angela ), Michael Tevenan (Mick Tracey ), and Nigel Cassidy (Chris ).
Stolen Child will be staged on Saturday February 14, Sunday 15, and Thursday 19 at 8pm. Booking is through 086 - 2045896.
