Little John Nee’s The Galway Years

FOLLOWING THE sell-out success of The Galway Years in October, Little John Nee revives the show in the Town Hall Thetre studio from Monday February 2 to Saturday 7.

The Galway Years recalls the city in the 1980s when cars drove down Shop Street and Macnas were starting out and bringing Gulliver on parade. The shows were recorded for a radio documentary by Ollie Jennings and such was the public response to the broadcast that Little John has planned a full series of memoir shows in 2015.

There are five shows in all. March will see The Glasgow Years covering LJ’s childhood in the 1960s; The Donegal Years in April covers the 1970s; May’s The London Years promises to be a comic mix of building sites, alternative culture, and Margaret Thatcher; while The Dublin Years will affectionately recall eccentric characters that populated Grafton Street.

Doors are at 8.30pm. Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
