Oh Boland to headline Strange Brew

THEY CONTINUE a proud tradition of Tuam indie, rock, and punk; they have just finished recording their debut album; and they are about to play their second headline show at the Róisín Dubh.

Oh Boland, the Tuam trio of Niall (guitar/vocals ), Simon (drums ), and Eanna (bass ), whose music mixes rough’n’ready, yet infectious and energetic pop-punk and slice of life lyrics, play the Róisín’s Strange Brew night tonight at 10pm.

The band will play some of their established numbers, songs from their 2014 split album with Me And My Dog, released by Popical Island, and tracks from their forthcoming debut album.

Oh Boland have also been gaining critical praise with Stephen White of journalist.ie declaring them one of the highlights of ‘Whelan’s Ones to Watch 2014’; while State.ie’s Paul McConnell said “they seem to throw the sound from their instruments, with every strum kick and howl belting the audience. Energy by the bucket load”.

Admission is free. Support is from Galway singer-songwriter Eoin Dolan and Galway garage pop quartet We Are Ruffians.
