Delaney to visit Cappagh Park

FAI boss John Delaney is heading to the home of Knocknacarra Football Club on Sunday February 1 to view its ‘football for all’ programme.

Delaney has taken up the invitation to visit Cappagh Park to witness first hand the club’s implementation of the FAI Football for All programme, which includes a module for children with special needs.

This specially-designed module, which is run every Sunday morning in the Knocknacarra Community Centre, has proved very successful. The programme’s aim is to provide football to people who may not ordinarily get the opportunity.

Knocknacarra FC’s academy caters for up to three 300 children who use the community centre, the main front pitch at Cappagh - soon to become an astro turf facility with floodlights - and the other pitch at Millers Lane.
