Fitness Fusion returns to Áras na nGael

Fitness Fusion adult Irish dance classes are back by popular demand with classes resuming in Áras na nGael this week.

Mark McCole, manager of Mystic Force Professional Irish Dancers, will guide the class in teaching them the skills of Irish dance. Mr McCole has performed on stages across the globe with the worldwide phenomenon Riverdance. He trialled and tested the innovative Irish dance class in Galway in autumn 2008 and it has proven to be a big success with all members.

“I am very excited by the fact that Fitness Fusion is returning for its second term with 80 per cent of the initial class returning,” he said. “There are a number of new people joining the class, which I would encourage as it is important to breathe new life into the class every so often. Last term we did this by taking in guest instructors who are lead performers with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. This proved very popular in the class.”

Fitness Fusion is suitable for adults who have an interest in learning the basics of Irish dance or adults who would simply like to brush up on their technique from their childhood Irish dancing experiences. Previous experience of Irish dancing is not required as the class will be split into beginners and advanced groups. This 12-week course will provide people with the opportunity to tone up and slim down while having fun learning Irish dance and meeting new people.

Classes commenced in Áras na nGael on Monday and take place weekly from 6.30pm. The cost of the 12-week course is €160. For more details e-mail [email protected] or call (087 ) 1321656.
