Galway chef, Jp McMahon has been announced as a speaker at the prestigious Ballymaloe Literary Festival.
The event has become a fixture on the foodie calendar and more than 8,000 people from across the world attended in 2014. The festival will again take place in the grounds of Ballymaloe Estate in East Cork from May 15-17 2015.
Jp McMahon will be speaking on Saturday May 16 about his book, Tapas - A Taste of Spain, and how he runs his three Galway restaurants -Cava Bodega, Aniar, and Eat Gastropub. He will also be taking part in a panel discussion on Sunday May 17, the theme for discussion is ‘What’s happening in Irish Food’. Other participants include - John Wilson, Stevie Toman , Alain Kerloc’h, and Kevin Thornton in conversation with John McKenna.
Mr McMahon is delighted to be asked to speak at this esteemed event. He described The Ballymaloe Lit Fest as, “a meeting point for food lovers, food writers, chefs, and anyone truly interested in food.”
