The Mayor of Galway Cllr Padraig Conneely is planning to host a civic reception for the outgoing rector of St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, Rev Patrick Towers.
Rev Towers recently announced that he would be retiring as rector of St Nicholas’ on January 31. The mayor said he hopes to hold a civic reception for the Church of Ireland clergyman in the near future.
“Rev Towers has been an outstanding religious, cultural, and community leader in the city for several years,” said Mayor Conneely, “and I wish him a long and happy retirement.”
