THEY SPAN the decades of music, they cross its genres, they pay no heed to what is ‘cool’ or ‘un-hip’, they just play great music, and they do it all on ukuleles.
The West Cork Ukulele Orchestra make a welcome return to Galway this Saturday when they play the Róisín Dubh at 8pm. Together since 2010, the nine-member orchestra play music from across the last 60 years and have won acclaim for their rip-roaring shows full of lush harmonies and death-defying ukulele-playing.
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
