Fashionistas concerned with the credit crunch and the recession can side-step the economic downturn with the Galway Simon Community’s Swap In The City Night.
The event is taking place in the Radisson SAS Hotel on Thursday January 29 from 7.30pm to 10pm. Retailers taking part in the event include Madisons Boutique, Ergo Boutique, and Enjoi Boutique.
Those going to the event should bring unworn or unwanted clothing, jewellery, or accessories to the Radisson. All clothing must be freshly pressed and in good condition. On arrival, each person will receive a token for each item donated. These tokens can then be used to ‘purchase’ any other item in the Swap Department.
Style consultant Maureen O’Halloran will give free advice on how to update your look and be fashionable on a budget. There will also be a host of beauty, health, fashion, and lifestyle suppliers and retailers who will be offering a sneak preview of trends for spring 2009.
