If you have ever wondered about volunteering overseas but are not sure how to go about it, then the Galway One World Centre has a course to answer your question.
The Galway One World Centre in conjunction with Comhlamh is offering a one-day training course on Saturday January 31 for people who wish to volunteer overseas in a developing country.
The workshop will be facilitated by returned volunteers, giving participants the opportunity to hear first hand experiences while exploring the complexities surrounding overseas volunteering. The workshop is participatory and designed to encourage action on development issues from a justice and equality perspective.
Comhlamh, the Irish Association of Returned Development Workers, has been running this workshop successfully for a number of years in Dublin.
