Norman Villa gallery exhibition

USUALLY IT is the students who exhibit, not the tutors, but in a role reversal a group of GMIT fine art students have organised a show of work by their teachers.

Trí Collective are third year students Therese Murphy, Rosie O’Connell, and Lidia Montemurri, who have organised Vice Versa, an exhibition of work by 18 artist/tutors at the GMIT - some of whom have exhibited and worked internationally - at Norman Villa Gallery, which opens this evening at 6pm.

On show will be painting, ceramics, sculpture, print, photography and mixed media. Among the exhibiting artists are Blaise Drummond, Fiona Murray, sculptor Katharine West, and ceramicist Rob D’eath. All artwork is for sale.

The exhibition runs until December 20. The gallery is open Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 12 noon to 6pm or by appointment.
