Printer Clips - a different guise for Bell X1’s Paul Noonan

PRINTER CLIPS, the new solo project from Bell X1’s Paul Noonan, have released a new charity single ‘Hole In Her Heart’ and play the Róisín Dubh on Sunday December 7 at 8pm.

Printer Clips began as a vehicle for a series of songs Paul wrote as duets and recorded in hallways, basements, and bedrooms in Montreal, New York, Dublin, and London with Martha Wainwright, Lisa Hannigan, Gemma Hayes, Julia Stone, Amy Milan, Cathy Davey, and Maria Doyle Kennedy, leading to the release of the Printer Clips album in May.

Now comes the single ‘Hole In Her Heart’, which Paul wrote with his wife Amy Van Den Broek, about their daughter Aislinn, who, at nine days old was found to have a bad intestinal infection, which in turn led to doctors discovering she had a hole in her heart.

“I remember staring at the screen, watching the tiny hole open and close with her heartbeat, winking at me,” recalls Paul. “We were really taken aback by the love and tender care she received in Crumlin, and would like to do something in return.”

The proceeds from the new single are going to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, to be divided between the Nazareth ward and rebuilding of the outpatients department. The single is available as a Christmas gift card via www.cmrf.org/heart or through iTunes.

Special guest is Gemma Hayes. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh. See also printerclips.com
